This part of your webpage is somewhat optimised!
You seriously need to consider this SEO facor.
This is an example of what your Title Tag and Meta Description will look like in Google's search engine results page.
While Title Tags & Meta Descriptions are used to create your search result listing, the search engines may create their own if they are missing, not well written, or not relevant to the content on the page.
As mentioned above, Title Tags and Meta Descriptions are cut short if they are too long, so it's important to stay within the suggested character limits.
Heading tags are important for both human readers and search engine robots alike.
To search engines robots a heading tag helps distinguish the major topic of a webpage and therefore the relevancy of a webpage to a particular search query.
Use your target keyword in the first heading on your website, and attribute it with the H1 heading tag.
Use secondary keyword topics/phrases in H2 and H3 tags.
Include your target keywords in your URL to help Google understand what your website is about and how relevant it is to a search query.
The meta keywords tag bears no relevance to your search ranking position. Do not stuff your keyword and variations of your keyword here!
We recommend to simply include your main keyword phrase once in the meta keywords tag along side your brand name.
On every page of your website try to add at least one image with a file name that that includes the keyword you want that individual page to rank for. It is important to include images on your website for SEO purposes.
Before uploading an image to your website make sure to alter the file name e.g. 'image.jpg' to include your keyword, for example 'your-keyword.jpg'.
Search Engine Robots cannot "see" an image the same way a human reader can. Therefore, Google's robots rely on the 'image alt text' attribute to tell to them what the image is of.
To make your webpage as relevant to your target keyword as possible include the phrase within an image's alt text.
Google’s search engine ranking algorithm now takes into consideration if your website is “mobile friendly” or not.
If your website is not mobile friendly it will be penalised in search results made from mobile devices.
Note: This currently does not affect searches made from a desktop computer. If you need assistance with creating a mobile friendly version of your website please contact us.
You have probably heard the phrase "content is king" - having great content will reduce bounce rates and increase visitor time on site.
It is known that Google pays attention to these engagement-based ranking factors. Use videos, infographics and other multimedia to keep visitors engaged on your site.
Additionally, look to have at least 400 words per page. 600+ words would be ideal.
Your webpage's ratio of text to HTML code needs to be above 15 percent. A ratio between 25 and 70 percent is ideal. If it goes beyond that, the page might run the risk of being considered as spam.
Your webpage's target keyword phrase should be used a number of times in the copy of the page. We suggest 2-3 times on pages less than 300 wordsand 4-6 times on longer pages.
However, make sure the keyword phrase is never used more than makes sense in the context of the copy.
The target keyword phrase should be used in the first 50-100 words of a page, if not sooner.
It has been found that use of a keyword in bold and/or in italics has a minor impact on search rankings. Therefore, in at least one instance on your webpage make your keyword in bold or italic, or both!
Your webpage's load time has an impact on your ranking position. It also affects usability and engagement metrics that Google considers when ranking your website.
Google recommends a page load speed of 1.5 seconds or less.
We would recommend leveraging browser caching and reducing the image file sizes as much as possible.
We would also recommend reducing the total number of CSS and JavaScript files by combining them into fewer files, and minimizing the file sizes by using compression and minification where feasible.
Google also offers site speed tests and recommendations.
Social signals are becoming more important to search engine algorithms. Although not fully tested, the number of Likes, Tweets, Google +s and other social shares have a small influence on your page's visibility in the Search Engine Results Pages.
Therefore, it is a good idea to include social sharing buttons and encourage your visitors to share your website for this reason. Moreover, start using our Social Media Like & Follow tool to increase your social media followers.
It is recommended that each page on your website has less than 150 outbound links. 'SEO juice' is passed between inter-linking pages, and after 150 the power of the juice dilutes.
The number and the quality of internal links pointing at your target page will influence its importance on the domain overall. The more powerful internal links your page has pointed at it, the higher it will rank. For example the homepage would normally be considered the most powerful page. It is also important that your webpage links out to at least 10 other pages on your website.
A sitemap lists the URLs that are available to search engine robots to crawl. You can use the following tool to create your own XML Sitemap.
A sitemap allows search engines to crawl your site more intelligently and work out which pages are most important.
It is also good practice to specify your sitemap's location in your robots.txt file.
A robots.txt file allows you to restrict the access of search engine robots that crawl the web and it can prevent these robots from accessing specific directories and pages. It also specifies where the XML sitemap file is located.
If your robots.txt file is set up incorrectly it can block search engines from crawling your site completely.
Your domain's age matters to your search engine ranking position to a certain extent. New domains generally struggle to get indexed and rank high in search results in their first few months.
Do you know that you can register your domain for up to 10 years? By doing so, you will show the world (and Google) that you are serious about your business, and thus you will gain a small boost in terms of your ability to rank in Google.
