Ultimate Ear sells custom made ear protection and has worked with big name clients such as Coca Cola and Cross Rail. Established in 2001, they've made a name for themselves in their industry.
Despite this, they were struggling to attract enough clientele via their website. Our task was to develop an innovative SEO strategy which boosted Ultimate Ears's Google visibility and ultimately increased the number of sales made through the site.
Building a tailored SEO strategy requires a strong understanding of the client's business, their main products & services, and who the target customer is. After discussing with Ultimate Ear created a plan that would suit them and their unique goals. After these initial discussions, we were soon ready to enact our bespoke marketing vision.
The first stage of our plan was to find out which specific terms search-engine users were typing into Google when searching for cutsom ear protection and similar products. Each of these terms was then weighed up in consideration of various factors, including their level of competitiveness as well as the likely intent of users who were inputting the phrase.
In collaboration with the client, we quickly agreed on a set number of main keyword terms for targeting with our advanced optimisation practices.
The next step in our process was to assess the website’s on-page properties by carrying out an exhaustive report highlighting the main areas for development.
There are currently over 200 known ‘ranking factors’ which affect a site’s position in Google’s search results; many of these factors are based on what is featured in a site’s coding and design.

For this client, it was important to produce atleast 350 to 400 words of high-quality written content for their product pages, as this was previously bare. Webpages featuring relevant & detailed written content tend to perform better on the search engine results pages because Google notices the use of various terms related to the service, and detects users spending more time on the site.
We also made edits to the design of these pages to ensure that the page was fully optimised but still pleasing aesthetically.
