M.Manze is a beloved series of shops providing traditional pie, mash and eels in London. While these stores were drawing in many customers, M.Manze wanted to promote their new UK-wide online delivery service as effectively as possible, by ranking at the very top of Google for several highly competitive keywords.
As soon as this business reached out to us, we quickly put together an in-depth SEO campaign designed to improve the quantity and quality of web traffic as soon as possible, and hence drive more customers to their excellent pie & mash delivery service.
Building a tailored SEO strategy requires a strong understanding of the client's business, their main products & services, and who the target customer is. We discussed these in great depth with M.Manze so that we could shape a plan that would suit them and their unique goals. After these initial discussions, we were soon ready to enact our bespoke marketing vision.
The first stage of our plan was to find out which specific terms search-engine users were typing into Google when searching for a service like the one offered by M.Manze. Each of these terms was then weighed up in consideration of various factors, including their level of competitiveness as well as the likely intent of users who were inputting the phrase.
In collaboration with the client, we quickly agreed on 10 main keyword terms for targeting with our advanced optimisation practices.
The next step in our process was to assess the website’s on-page properties by carrying out an exhaustive report highlighting the main areas for development.
There are currently over 200 known ‘ranking factors’ which affect a site’s position in Google’s search results; many of these factors are based on what is featured in a site’s coding and design.

For this client, it was important to produce around 800 words of high-quality written content for the homepage, as this was previously bare. Webpages featuring relevant & detailed written content tend to perform better on the search engine results pages because Google notices the use of various terms related to the service, and detects users spending more time on the site.
We also made edits to the design of this page to ensure that the most useful information was higher-up and therefore more easily attainable for visitors.
