Despite being one of Kent’s leading Tree Surgeons, Down To Earth Trees sought to significantly increase their brand awareness and gain an improved online presence through the implementation of a SEO campaign.
Our task was to create a cost-effective SEO marketing strategy for the business which not only builds brand awareness, but increase the number of new leads the website generated each month.

We decided that the best course of action to take with this site was a “location page” based strategy. This entails creating individual pages which target various medium to long-tail keyword phrases targeting a specific location. For example “Tree Surgeons Gravesend” or “Tree Surgeons Canterbury”. Creating an individual page for each of these areas increased the ranking potential of the pages significantly.
This is the most important part of any SEO campaign and it is vital that significant effort is exerted to ensure that the correct keywords are found for any given business. This must take into account factors such as search volume, competition and user intent. The latter is arguably the most important, and we have ensured that we have chosen keywords that take into account user intent, and therefore maximise our potential to attract high-quality leads.
Keywords such as ‘Tree Surgeons Gravesend’, ‘Tree Surgeons Sevenoaks’, were our first port of call.
Secondly, we have made a multitude of on-site updates. This includes optimising title tags, heading tags and image file names. The implementation of these various SEO best practices is vital to ranking well in Google as they make it easier for Google’s “bots” to decipher what the website is about, and what value it can provide.
